Let people read this and decide for themselves but this has been my experience and I am going to state my opinions/experiences here just as freely as anyone else.In regards to "millions" I know the millions is not referring to the 5x version available here at MacGarden. I do not recommend v5x for Mac OS 7 users. Now there is a built-in archiving program as well as a number of other cost-free programs that handle pretty much ever archiving algorithm extant.It is unstable and I stand by my previous comments. StuffIt and StuffIt Expander were must-have utility programs back when macOS was known as 'System Software' (version s 6.x, 7.x, etc.). Sit file doesnt open by double-clicking its icon, drag it over onto StuffIt Expanders. As with the drag and drop method described for Disk Copy above, if the CheckSum utilitys.

I've had problems with the 5x downloaded/installed from this site.The two of you, since you've been using 5x for "years" with no problems are obviously not using the download from this site.
